Our Next Event: Aquaculture in the UK

For our next event we are partnering with The Seafood 2040 Programme to explore aquaculture in the UK. We will be covering a range of topics, including the future of the sector, the barriers and opportunities it faces, and how it can work with government and policy. The event will take place online on 26 October at 11am.

UK Government Announces First Instalment of £100 Million Seafood Fund

Last week Defra announced that £24 million will be available for fishing businesses, as part of the wider £100 million scheme. The investment aims to develop technology, trial new gear and support research improving productivity and sustainability of the industry.
MMO and Department for Transport Declare Changes to Harbour Order Fees

Harbour Order application fees are set to increase following consultations and stakeholder engagement activities over the last two years. The new fee structure is looking to recognise the increased complexity and better reflect the actual costs of processing applications.
