The £1.9M Maritime and Fisheries Fund Launches for Northern Ireland

Financial support is now available for fishing and aquaculture stakeholders in Northern Ireland, replacing the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund. Minister Poots has encouraged stakeholders to apply promptly as the funding closes in March next year.
MMO Publishes UK Sea Fishery Statistics for 2020

The MMO has released its annual publication of UK sea fishery statistics. In 2020, landing quantity increased slightly compared to 2019, but decreased by 16% in value. The number of UK fishers decreased by 6% over the same period - equivalent to approximately 700 fewer jobs.
