UK and Norway Fail to Secure Fishing Deal

The failure to reach a deal following five months of ongoing discussion means that the nations will not have fishing access to each other’s waters and quota exchanges will not take place for 2021. Negotiations for a 2022 agreement are due to begin in the Autumn.
Unhappiness Over EU-UK TCA Leads to French Protest in Jersey Waters

Last week's blockade of Jersey capital St Helier by French fishing boats was fuelled by disputes over access to the island's territorial waters. French vessel owners have challenged the imposition of restrictions. It is hoped that better communication can allay tensions.
EFRA Calls on Government to Ease Export Burdens

The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee has published a report investigating what caused the export delays earlier this year, and is calling on the government to lessen the administrative and financial burdens surrounding seafood and meat exports to the EU.
