Thank you for your engagement with the APPG on Fisheries throughout 2020. Your support has meant more people then ever are attending our events, and our resources are becoming increasingly effective We are looking forward to continuing this trend into 2021. In the meantime, we would like to wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

Our new digest of the Fisheries Act 2020 summarises the main areas of the Act, and explains the significance of the eight objectives, the Joint Fisheries Statement, fishing licensing and opportunities, and relevant devolved and reserved responsibilities.

|
We publish a policy brief after the majority of our events, covering the event's outcomes and synthesising additional research on the issue. The briefs are designed as a useful reference for Parliamentarians and industry professionals working to improve the UK fisheries sector.

|
All our online events in 2020 were recorded and are publicly available on our website, alongside summaries of the discussions that follow presentations at each event. You can find the recordings, as well as all the articles and digests we have published, on our blog page.

We have been thrilled to see our events and resources reach a growing audience throughout 2020. Our transition to online events has allowed people from all over the UK and beyond to easily access and participate in the important discussions taking place, and we regularly have over 100 people sign up to attend our events. We will continue to host events online until at least May 2021.
Our online presence has also grown. This newsletter now has over 600 subscribers, and we have over 1,100 followers on Twitter. Our website has seen over 7,200 visitors viewing our pages over 18,000 times. Our policy briefs and digests are reaching more people, including MPs and Peers Parliament. We regularly receive positive feedback and ideas for future engagement from people from all sectors, which we always appreciate and take on board.
We are looking forward to continuing to expand our outreach and further enhance collaboration with all those connected to the UK fisheries sector in 2021. As always, we welcome any feedback or suggestions for future direction, so do feel free to get in touch.
