Climate Resilience: Lessons from Abroad

As the climate changes, there is an increasing need for fisheries and fishing communities to build resilience into their practices. This will ensure they are able to weather the effects of climate change and adapt to changing conditions, such as changing stocks or stormier seas. Many fisheries around the world are taking on this challenge, and have made important insights that can educate or inspire UK fisheries governance and management.

At this event, we will hear from speakers from around the world who have made pioneering efforts to build climate resilience into fisheries and coastal communities. Their presentations will provide lessons and potential collaboration points for their UK equivalents.
